In November flyglobespan was named Best
Holiday Airline at the SPAA awards 2007,
which follow previous accolades for the
company including Airline of the Year
2005 by BAA Scotland and Outstanding
Business Achievement awarded by The
Scottish Council for Development and
Industry.
The Globespan Group also achieved the
position of 133rd on the league table of
Britain’s biggest mid-market private
companies in 2007, a move of more than
60 places from their position in the
league in 2006. The league is compiled
by Sunday Times, in association with
HSBC and KPMG.

THE AIRCRAFT
Three wide-bodied Boeing 767-300's and
one Boeing 757-200 operates the long
haul program, while the company also
currently operates two Boeing 737-600's,
two Boeing 737-700's, two Boeing
737-300's and five Boeing 737-800's
Flyglobespan has also ordered two Boeing
787 Dreamliners that will offer a more
fuel efficient and environmentally
friendly way to fly. These are expected
to start operation on long haul routes
in 2010.
